On 4th Dec 2024, Child Support Foundation conducted an eco-friendly activity at Talakadu Government Girls' School, combining education and environmental responsibility. The initiative involved the use of kindergarten gardening kits to create seed balls, fostering awareness about the importance of greenery and environmental conservation among students.
The activity was both educational and hands-on, allowing students to learn the process of making seed balls—a simple yet impactful method to promote afforestation. The seed balls, containing native plant seeds and nutrient-rich soil, can be easily dispersed in barren areas to encourage plant growth.Students participated with great enthusiasm, enjoying the opportunity to connect with nature while learning about sustainability. The gardening kits provided were designed to make the process fun and engaging, helping young learners understand the importance of preserving the environment.
Teachers appreciated the effort, highlighting its role in instilling environmental values in students from a young age.
